St. Peter’s Rocksborough

First
service was held on May 7, 1933. Founding
families of St. Peter's were Leeders, Shires, Dixons
Kingshotts, and Whites. The land was donated to the
Diocese by
Mary Jane White. Brothers from the
Society of Saint John the
Evangelist (SSJE) came to
the church from Bracebridge on foot
to conduct many
of the services and maintain the church.
Today, St. Peter's is one of St. Thomas' chapels, offering
services in the summer and during Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
